Seasoned words

Hey dear young friends in Christ,

Teenage years are filled with conversations—at home, in school, with friends, and especially on social media. A single message can heal a heart or leave a deep wound. The Bible teaches that our words should be full of grace. Grace means speaking with kindness, respect, and compassion, even when we disagree.

"Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone." (Colossians 4:6)
Paul also says our speech should be "seasoned with salt." Salt preserves and adds flavor. In the same way, our words should bring wisdom, truth, and encouragement instead of gossip, insults, or sarcasm. Before posting, texting, or speaking, ask yourself: Will these words help someone grow, or will they hurt someone?

Jesus said, "For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of" (Luke 6:45). A heart filled with Christ will produce words that inspire hope and peace.

The art of living from a biblical perspective is not only about great achievements but also about mastering everyday conversations. A teenager who learns to speak with grace becomes a light in the classroom, a blessing in the family, and a true witness of Christ among friends.
Today's Challenge: Think before you speak. Pray before you post. Let your words reflect the love of Jesus.
