My dear beloved Youth in Christ,

Psalm 1:1 reminds us of the importance of being mindful of the company we keep. Our friends and the influences around us shape our attitudes, decisions, and spiritual growth. The verse emphasizes avoiding the path of the wicked, the presence of habitual sinners, and the scoffing of mockers. Instead, it encourages us to align ourselves with those who uplift us in faith and encourage righteousness.

Relationships are powerful. While we’re called to love all people, we must guard our hearts and ensure that those closest to us inspire godliness rather than lead us astray. Choose friends who challenge you to grow, encourage your faith, and stand with you in truth.

Who we walk with determines where we’ll end up. Ask yourself: Are my friendships helping me draw closer to God?
