Why me?
Hey dear young friends in Christ,
“It was not because of his sins or his parents' sins,” Jesus answered. “This happened so the power of God could be seen in him.” — John 9:3
When suffering comes, our first question is often, “Why me? What did I do wrong?” But Lord Jesus teaches us not to waste our strength searching for someone to blame. Instead, ask, “Lord, give me strength to face this, and show me what You can do through my life.”
You may face illness, disability, family problems, loneliness, loss, or struggles others cannot see. Your suffering does not make you less valuable, and it does not mean God has abandoned you.
And remember: never judge someone by their struggle. The person sitting quietly beside you may be carrying a heavy burden. Someone with a disability, someone grieving, or someone growing up without parents may need your kindness more than your questions.
Don’t be a disciple who judges. Be a disciple who cares.
This week, notice someone who is struggling. Listen, encourage, include, and pray. You may not be able to change their situation, but your kindness can remind them that they are not alone.
Jesus still brings light into dark places.
Jesus loves you!
