Love rules over faith and hope

Wednesday with Jesus

Dear Bretheren in Christ,

There are many things we spend our lives trying to build—success, reputation, wealth, relationships, and achievements. Yet Paul reminds us that when everything else passes away, faith, hope, and love remain. And the greatest of these is love:
“Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.” — 1 Corinthians 13:13

Faith is where our journey with God begins. It teaches us to trust Him even when we cannot see the whole picture. Hope keeps our hearts looking forward, even in difficult seasons. But love turns faith and hope into action.

We may say, “I have faith,” but faith becomes visible when we forgive. We may say, “I have hope,” but hope becomes powerful when we encourage someone who is discouraged. And we truly understand God’s love when we begin to serve others without expecting anything in return.

Love is not merely a feeling. Love is a decision to care, forgive, serve, sacrifice, and remain faithful. Jesus did not simply teach us to love—He demonstrated love by giving Himself for us.

When faith is our foundation and hope is our focus, our hearts become free to love completely. We no longer need to live for recognition, repayment, or approval. We can love because God first loved us.

So, this Wednesday, let us ask ourselves: Is my faith changing the way I treat people? Is my hope changing the way I face my struggles? Is God’s love becoming visible through my life?

Perhaps the greatest testimony of our faith is not what we say about God, but how much of God’s love people can experience through us.

Faith believes. Hope waits. Love acts.
And when love becomes the language of our lives, people begin to see Christ in us.

Lord Jesus, strengthen our faith, renew our hope, and fill us with Your love, so that through our words, choices, forgiveness, and service, others may experience Your love. Amen.

Prayerful regards,
