The Lord Who Calms the Storm
Grace and peace to you in the Name of Lord Jesus Christ!
Dear Bretheren in Christ,
Life often feels like a storm — waves of trouble, winds of worry, and clouds of fear gather around us. Even the disciples, who walked daily with Jesus, once cried out, “Teacher, don’t You care that we’re perishing?” But when Jesus stood and spoke, everything obeyed His command.
“Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, ‘Peace, be still!’ And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.” -Mark 4:39
The same Jesus who calmed the sea that day still whispers “Peace, be still” into the hearts of those who call on Him in faith. Your storm may not cease immediately, but His presence brings calm to your spirit long before the waves subside. Remember — peace is not the absence of trouble; it’s the presence of Christ in the midst of it.
A sailor once said, “The sea is never still, but when my captain is on deck, I fear no wave.” Beloved, as long as Jesus is in your boat, no storm can sink you.
Lord Jesus, speak Your peace into the storms of my life. Help me to trust You even when the winds roar, knowing You are always near. Amen.
Prayerful regards,
