I surrender all...

  Wednesday with Jesus

Dear Bretheren in Christ,
Paul reminds us that our body can become an instrument of either sin or righteousness. A tool has no purpose of its own; its purpose depends on whose hands it is placed in. In the same way, our mind, body, and soul can be used either to serve our own desires or to accomplish God’s purposes.

Sin seeks to control every part of us—our thoughts, words, eyes, hands, desires, and actions. But when we come to Christ, we receive a new life. Therefore, Paul calls us to make a deliberate and complete surrender:
'Do not let any part of your body become an instrument of evil to serve sin. Instead, give yourselves completely to God, for you were dead, but now you have new life. So use your whole body as an instrument to do what is right for the glory of God.'
— Romans 6:13

True dedication to God is more than attending worship or doing occasional acts of service. It means offering our mind to think according to God’s truth, our heart and soul to love Him wholeheartedly, and our body to become an instrument of righteousness. Our eyes can look with compassion, our ears can listen to those who are hurting, our lips can speak words of encouragement and truth, and our hands can serve those in need.

God does not ask us to give Him only a part of our lives. He desires the whole person. When our mind, body, and soul are placed in His hands, even ordinary abilities and daily activities can become opportunities to glorify Him.

So today, let us pray: Lord, I give myself completely to You. Take my mind, my body, my soul, my abilities, and my time. Use every part of me as an instrument of righteousness for Your glory.

Prayerful regards,
