God's 'not yet' is not a ' never'
Wednesday with Jesus
Dear Bretheren in Christ,
The apostles were eager for change. They wanted Jesus to restore Israel and establish the kingdom. But Jesus reminded them that God’s timetable is not something they could control or predict.
“The Father alone has the authority to set those dates and times, and they are not for you to know.” — Acts 1:7
We often have the same struggle. We pray for a change in our family, a breakthrough in our work, healing in a relationship, peace in a difficult situation, or an answer to a long-awaited prayer. When nothing seems to happen, impatience quietly enters our hearts. We begin to ask, “Lord, how long?”
Jesus teaches us that God is never late, even when He seems slow to us. The Father knows the right time for every event—worldwide, national, and personal. What looks like delay to us may be preparation in God’s hands.
Our responsibility is not to discover God’s timetable, but to trust the One who holds the timetable.
So, if there is something you desperately want God to change and He is not changing it immediately, don't lose heart. Keep praying. Keep believing. Keep doing what is right. And surrender the timing to Him.
God’s “not yet” is not a “never.”
Don’t allow impatience to steal your peace. Trust God’s timing, even when you cannot understand His timetable.
Lord Jesus, give me patience when Your answers seem delayed. Help me trust Your wisdom, Your plan, and Your perfect timing. Amen.
Prayerful regards,
