The aged
Wednesday with Jesus
Dear Bretheren in Christ,
“Do not cast me away when I am old; do not forsake me when my strength is gone.” — Psalm 71:9
Jesus teaches us to value every stage of life. Our senior citizens are not people of the past; they are living treasures of wisdom, faith, sacrifice, and experience. Their hands may have grown weaker, but their prayers can still be powerful. Their stories remind us where we came from and their faith can guide the generations that follow.
Let us never measure a person’s worth by age or physical strength. God continues to have a purpose for every life. Today, let us honor our elders—not merely with words, but with respect, patience, love, and care.
“Even in old age they will still produce fruit; they will remain vital and green.” — Psalm 92:14
Jesus, teach us to honor those who walked before us and to receive their wisdom with grateful hearts. Amen.
Happy World Senior Citizens Day — August 21
